A lovely place to stay. The owner and her staff are all very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable and our evening meals and breakfasts were delicious. This is a real gem of a place and we will definitely stay there again.
Booked for Sunday lunch as a halfway point to meet our niece and husband. Really nice spot - food was excellent and very good value for money, biggest and tastiest Yorkshire pudding for a long time! Service was great, and we weren't rushed at all. Would definitely return.
We stopped at The Buck Inn during a ride out with our grandchildren and found the delightful beer garden to the rear of the pub ideal for keeping the kids amused. The south facing garden is peaceful (children permitting) and is bathed in sun most of the day and evening. Perfect for enjoying the excellent real ales and/or a meal.
Just been in this afternoon for a bite of Sunday lunch. Staff were friendly and provided excellent hospitality. We ordered 2 Top side of Beef Sunday lunches. Food came quickly. Portion size was good, you won’t go hungry. The beef was excellent, cooked well and full of flavour. It came with a side of veg, and cauliflower cheese. What came was enough to feed 2-3 people. Overall an excellent experience, and a credit to the village.
We came here today with our car club. The Sunday roast dinner was absolutely delicious, and was complimented by superb service by all the staff. It's definitely a place to visit again. It's also in a wonderful little village. Top marks..
What a beautiful little gem this is, the rooms were spotlessly clean and the beds comfortable, the food was good, and the location is just so peaceful, Vicky the landlady was a lovely lady who cooked our breakfast to perfection and Trish was there to show us to our room and very kindly organised a table for dinner for us even though it was very busy(I forgot to book dinner when I booked the room) Will definitely be back in the future
Visited, twice, over a weekend for drinks with friends from the Yorkshire Driving Club. We were outside to be with our horses, but the pub is set in a lovverly well kept village. Set on the edge of the village green, with cricket pitch. Also went for a meal on a Friday evening and was very full with diners enjoying the full and varied menu. I enjoyed my moules & frites
We called in after being in Ripon on the way home, TT landlord on the pumps homemade pies Really low key, friendly but not overly so. Very tasty homemade food, good service
